Winter 2024 Internship for Candidates who are Black, Indigenous, and People of Color

Nosy Crow is an independent children’s publishing company with operations in both the USA and the UK. We make child-focused, parent-friendly children’s books for ages 0-12.

We are seeking an intern for the winter 2024 season with a focus in sales and marketing. The position will be based in Lincoln, MA and require in-office presence with flexibility in frequency and scheduling. Our Lincoln office is accessible by train and located across the street from the Lincoln stop of the MBTA Fitchburg line. The office itself is accessible via elevator. The position will consist of 15-20 hours per week, depending on candidates’ schedules and availability, and an hourly rate of $20/hour. The position will last approximately 10 weeks, from February to April 2024, depending on candidates’ schedules and availability.

Key Responsibilities:

Create content for social media and digital marketing

Collaborate and support relationships with independent booksellers

Collaborate and support relationships with public and school librarians

Key skills, characteristics, and capabilities:

Exceptional attention to detail, the ability to prioritize, and strong follow-up skills

Excellent organizational skills

Strong communication skills, both verbal & written, used on timely follow-up over email and phone

A team player who treats others with respect and has the ability to build internal & external relationships

Ability to take initiative and problem-solve creatively

Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

An avid reader
